Customers have the option of choosing Sharp’s standard Tractor or Trailer PM service or creating a Custom Service Solution tailored for specific needs. By outsourcing and streamlining the PM and Inspection process, “in-house” mechanics are able to address identified issues more promptly and thoroughly than ever before, keeping more trucks compliant and on the road. Field Service Reports are communicated to designated customer personnel each day upon completion of work. FSRs are also retained by SharpHES, and made available upon future request.


Tractor PM – This standard tractor PM service was created by assessing the most common criteria used among in-house preventive maintenance programs of large fleet operators around the US.


Tractor PM’s includes the following major items as part of a 105-point service and safety inspection:

  • Oil and oil filter change and disposal
  • Primary and secondary fuel filter change and disposal
  • Air filter change and disposal
  • Run up and check for leaks around filters & recheck oil level
  • Torque lug nuts
  • Lubrication/greasing of entire unit
  • Check and record all tire tread depth
  • Check and record all break lining thickness
  • Check and top-off all fluid reservoirs


Trailer PM – This standard trailer PM service was created using the most common trailer PM criteria found throughout the industry.


Trailer PM’s includes the following major items

  • Lubrication/greasing of entire unit
  • Thorough inspection of unit
  • Brake inspection and adjustment


Custom Service Solution – The Sharp Custom Service Solution is built from the ground up, completely tailored to the individual requirements of our customers. By implementing a Sharp Custom Service Solution, Fleet Maintenance Managers can be assured that their PMs are being performed consistently to their standards.

Unlike traditional outsourced maintenance options, customers are not required to forfeit existing “in-house” service facilities or shuttle assets to and from outside providers.
